Cookies and How We Use Them

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as whether you’ve subscribed to the newsletter already, or font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering that information whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to page. Not all cookies collect information that identifies you, though. Some just collect general information such as how users arrive at and use a website, which helps website owners evaluate and find ways to improve features and content.

This site uses cookies essential to the efficient operation of the site and to offer a personalized experience for users, as well as to enable user interactions with blog comments and to improve site speed and content through usage of anonymous analytics.

    Thank you, Debbie Macomber!

I feel blessed to be included in this collection with Debbie Macomber… even more because it hit the New York Times list! A huge thank you to everyone who bought it and to Debbie for writing books everyone wants to read

    It’s a bestseller!

A big thank you to all the loyal readers who made Child on His Doorstep hit the Publishers Weekly list!

Five New Books in The Off Season series!

I’m happy to announce that I signed a contract for three more novels and two novellas in The Off Season series! Set in the small waterfront community of Pleasant Shores, these books feature a program helping victims of violent crimes heal with the support of therapy dogs. That’s serious business, but the books also feature fun times on the Chesapeake, delicious milkshakes from Goody’s, and the chance to watch gorgeous, seventy-something Mary Rhoades try to elude her many suitors as she runs her bookstore and helps the community!

Cottage at the Beach is in grocery stores!

Most authors feel successful when they hit a bestseller list or win an award. For me, it’s when I see my book IN THE GROCERY STORE. Yep, that is what I always dreamed of, and it’s a huge thrill when it happens! My daughter will attest that I visit my book every time I go grocery shopping. Here’s Cottage at the Beach in my local Giant Eagle!

If you’re in the area, stop by between 12 and 2… authors will be in costume and there are lots of fun door prizes in addition to wonderful books!
