This book is such an underdog. The heroine is a former exotic dancer; the hero has a ton of baggage and a very distressing secret; and the service dog is a small, sweet Cavalier King Charles Spaniel at a time when big, tough dogs are more in vogue. I had no idea how my readers would react. I just knew this was the story that came to me, the story I had to tell.
Luke and Angie truly show God's redemptive power. They must lean on their faith as they struggle to do the right thing and help others.
