For my Love Inspired K-9 Companions books, dogs play a central role. I love to have a real-life model for my dog character, which brings me to Nemo!

Nemo is a double-doodle in my neighborhood, one of the few dogs my Nash tolerates. I've known him since he was a few months old, and I adore him! So, when the recovering alcoholic hero of His Christmas Salvation needed a psychiatric service dog, Nemo came immediately to mind. He's intelligent, lively, and very handsome. He gets along with all kinds of people and all kinds of dogs. His only flaw is that he barks… a lot. He's the perfect companion as Fisk, my hero, works through his issues and falls in love with the single mom next door.

If you want to meet Nemo, you can find His Christmas Salvation on shelves October 22nd, 2024.
